TALCHER: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has promised assured people of the state that the truth behind the murder of Swami Laxmananda Saraswati will come out and justice will be given for every drop of blood of Swami jI.
Majhi said this while addressing a gathering at village Gurujang at Talcher today on the occasion of birth centenary celebration of Swami Ji.He declared Gurujang village as a “Heritage Village”(Aitiha Grama) at the as a mark of respect to Swami ji and announced Gurujang Panchayat as “Adarsha Panchayat”.
Reminding people how Laxmanananda Saraswati was brutally killed by assailants on janmashtami day of 2008,the chief minister blamed the previous BJD government who had failed to to provide a protection to the saint.He bemoaned that not only peace but also government took no step to nab the real culprits.
Describing the missing of Naidu commission report as not a simple neglect,he said there is a conspiracy behind it which will be unfolded by the crime branch.
The chief minister said,Laxmananda Saraswati was not an individual but an institution.He was a shining feature of Sanatana Dharma who discharging worldly comfort dedicated his life to serve helpless Vanavasi in dense areas of Kandhamal.Swami Ji there at Chakapada and Jaleshpata set up ashram and inspired the vanavasi girls for education.He said Swamy Ji at a stretch was the Guru and pride.
Paying homage to Swami Ji,the chief minister said Phulbani Medical College has been named after him and government has sanctioned rupees 13 crore from chief Minister fund for the development of Jaleshpata ashram,ashram school and kanyasram..Stating that that even prime minister Narendra Modi had paid respect to Swami Ji .he called upon gen Z movement to tie with Sanatan Dharm for which Swami Ji had propagated during his lifetime..
The chief minister said though Swami Ji was silenced his ideal he inspires society even today..
Dharmendra Pradhan speaking on the occasion former union minister the photos and books on Swami Ji will reach 50,000 village in the state to inspire people.He said Swami Ji in his life time had helped depressed people in the society and strive hard against bidharmi and cow slaughter.He organised adivasis movement in kandhamala and caught mod taught modern way of life.
Among others Dhenkanal MP Rudra Narayan pani,Kandhamala MP Sukanta Panigrahi,Speaker Surama Padhy,MLAs Ashok Mohanty,Agasti Behera,Pratap Pradhan,Bibhuti Pradhan,Satrughana Jena were present in the meeting.
