KeralamIn Kozhikode, the District Collector announced a holiday for all educational institutions, including schools, colleges, professional colleges, tuition centres, madrasas and anganwadis. The administration said the decision was taken after the IMD forecast heavy rain over the coming days and following reports of flooding in several low-lying areas.
Nine injured workers were rescued and admitted to WIMS Hospital. They were identified as Hiran Kumar, Dileep, Sooraj Yadav, Sanjay Tapur, Rajanish, Thanmai Ghosh, Koodammal, Santhosh and Kunju. Hospital authorities said all of them were in stable condition.

The case has been registered at the Museum Police Station under various provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act. The investigation is continuing, with police expected to identify and proceed against additional accused based on the evidence collected.
