Dhenkanal; Mystery shrouds over the death of a 38-year-old patient at Dhenkanal district headquarters campus last night after discharge from hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Manoranjan Tripathy of village Kankalunda under Joranda police station. Tripathy was discharged from hospital last night but today morning his body was traced in Hospital campus this morning raising doubts over his demise. Police registered a case of unnatural death in this connection.
According to report ,Manoranjan was having a gas and constipation problem and was rushed to Dhenkanal DHH on Saturday morning.Doctors there admitted him in ward and treated with medicine and injections .
At about 9pm last night when there was no family member with him he insisted to be discharged as he was feeling well. Finally, at about 9Pm last night he was discharged from the hospital,said CDMO Sanjay Mahapatra .
Today morning at about 10 am his body was traced at a deserted place in the hospital campus .Hospital authorities informed town police who rushed to the spot and sent the body for post mortem .
His younger brother Saroj Tripathy reported the matter to the police that his brother died in a suspicious circumstance demanding a thorough probe into the incident.
Town police station IIC Diren Behera said that a case on unnatural death case was registered in this connection and the report of post mortem is awaited. HE said that there was no mark of injury on his body.
