The alleged irregularities in the donations offered at the Ram Temple continue to escalate,as the Ayodhya Bar Association unanimously has decided that no advocate would represent the accused in this case.
Bar Association President Kalika Prasad Mishra stated that if any lawyer appears in court on behalf of the accused, a fine of ₹500,000 will be imposed on them. In addition, that lawyer's membership in the Bar Association will be terminated.
During the meeting, several advocates demanded that Champat Rai, Anil Mishra, and Gopal Rao leave Ayodhya within three days. They warned that if this did not happen, large-scale protests would be organized throughout the city, and a strategy would be adopted to completely block Ayodhya, potentially preventing outsiders from entering.
Meanwhile, the police remand of all eight accused arrested in the case is ending on Monday. All of them will be produced before the court today. It is being speculated that the police may seek another remand for further questioning.
On Sunday, during the investigation, the police conducted raids at the homes of the accused. The operation resulted in the recovery of cash, jewelry, property-related documents, and other important items. Notably, a total of eight people have been named as accused in the Ram Temple donation case.
