Bengaluru court orders FIR against Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, know what is the whole matter?

BENGALURU: A Bengaluru court in Karnataka has ordered an FIR to be registered against Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The Special Court of People’s Representatives in Bengaluru has ordered the registration of an FIR on charges of extortion,according to reports.

The court  has given this order in connection with the allegations of extortion through electoral bonds. In fact, Adarsh ​​​​Iyer of Janadhikar Sangharsh Sangathan had filed a private complaint against Nirmala Sitharaman and others.

It has been alleged that extortion was done through electoral bonds.Tilak Nagar police will now register an FIR against Nirmala Sitharaman and others,according to reports.

The central government has launched the Electoral Bond Scheme in 2018. The scheme was intended to replace cash donations given to political parties, so that transparency in political funding could be improved.
